November 1960: Teraoka Seiko Co., Ltd. develops Japan’s first purely electric automatic door.
February 1962: Development of purely electric automatic door unit wins Tokyo Invention Association’s Encouragement Award.
June 1962: Teraoka Seiko’s door division begins sales of SO-20K and SO-60K units for sliding automatic doors, as well as HOL and HB-900 for swinging automatic doors.
June 1963: Teraoka Autodoor Co., Ltd. is established with ￥10 million capital to be responsible for sales for Teraoka automatic doors. Wholesale and retail operations begin at the Tokyo head office.
Strengthened sales to general retail stores with the aim of expanding market share, mainly through the SOW-80K sliding and HOH-900 swinging automatic doors.
Developed SOV-200K sliding automatic engine for buildings, expanding into the field of automatic doors for regular buildings.
April 1966: Established distributors across the Kanto region.
May 1966: Established distributors in Shikoku, Chugoku and Kyushu regions.
May 1967: Established distributors in Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures.

February 1971: Developed SOV-60KI Type lightweight sliding automatic door engine, heralding the start of the transom-integrated lightweight automatic door engine era.
March 1971: Opened Fukui local office.
October 1972: Began sales of SOV-R200K circular automatic doors.
March 1973: Began sales of industrial refrigerator automatic doors.
April 1973: Kanazawa office promoted to branch status; Fukui local office promoted to office status.
January 1976: To meet demand for storefront door automation, developed SOV-60KLS and SOV-60KLT sliding automatic door engines built to fit within a 100mm depth.
July 1976: Capital increased to ￥30 million.
September 1978: Developed and began sales of SOV-60KLTM sliding automatic door engine for 100mm depth storefronts, expanding the category lineup.
January 1980: Developed and began full-scale sales of an automatic door system for clean-room air shower cubicles.
August 1980: Aggressively worked on standardization and sales of automatic door engines for gates.
November 1980: Made Kyushu region distributor a wholly owned subsidiary - Teraoka Autodoor Kyushu Co., Ltd.
January 1981: Developed and began sales of SOV-60KLTMD and SOV-150KLTMD directly-attached automatic door engines, helping to develop the storefront market further.
September 1982: Developed and began sales of Teraoka Full Opener with swing open functionality.
January 1983: Developed and began sales of HOG-1100 automatic door engine for swinging fire shutter doors.
October 1984: Developed and began sales of Teraoka Full Opener Mini, a model fitting perfectly within storefronts.
Developed soundproof and airtight automatic door.
January 1985: Began sales of Sanergy Door, an energy-saving tempered glass door.
April 1985: Full-scale sales of Teraoka airtight automatic doors begin.
January 1986: Established Hiroshima local office. Kanazawa branch renamed to Hokuriku branch.
March 1986: Teraoka Full Opener Mini receives the System Development Award at the ’86 Japan Shop.
November 1987: Sales of Auto Counter Passel visitor management recorder begin.
June 1988: Sales of Slim Sanergy Door, a stainless steel frame door, begin.
June 1988: Developed and began sales of SOT-T60K automatic door engine, designed to fit 70mm deep storefronts and equipped with a microcontroller.
June 1988: Began sales of revolving CD booths.
November 1989: Head office relocated to Chidori, Ota Ward.
January 1990: Developed and began sales of RV-2000 automatic revolving door.
July 1991: Moved General Affairs section to Shimomaruko, Ota Ward.
June 1992: Celebrated 30th anniversary of founding.
October 1992: A sales partnership with Kikukawa Kogyo led to sales commencing of German company J. Gartner’s Passad ultra large rotating door.
April 1993: A sales partnership with Okamura Corporation led to sales commencing of the Liniard linear motor-operated automatic door.
November 1993: Sales of Slim Sanergy Door II Type, a stainless steel frame door, begin.
January 1994: Completed and began sales of Sefloa System, an electronic mat switch with access return functionality.
July 1994: Teraoka Stainless Sasshi becomes a specified manufacturer by the Ministry of Construction.
July 1994: Full scale sales of Teraoka’s Rail-Tight System begin.
July 1996: Began sales of Teraoka’s FST Series Rail-Tight System Automatic Door.
August 1996: Completed and began sales of SOV-200KLDM-2 Type automatic door engine with DC brushed motor.
July 1997: More affordable Liniard UD goes on sale.
January 1998: Alclasse aluminum frame door goes on sale.

January 2001: Higashi-Nihon Teraoka Autodoor Co., Ltd. and Kyoritsu Teraoka Autodoor Co., Ltd. merge, reorganizing and renaming itself Teraoka Facilities Inc.
July 2001: Began sales of SOV-70KLDM automatic door engine for lightweight sliding doors.
September 2001: Began sales of HOH-SD/DD lightweight folding automatic door product.
December 2001: Integrated management of Teraoka Autodoor Kyushu Co., Ltd. sales departments; company becomes the group’s stainless steel door manufacturing unit (Fukuoka branch, Oita branch and Kitakyushu sales offices established).
March 2002: Teraoka’s automatic doors are exhibited at the Building Materials Exhibition in Beijing, China.
October 2002: Full-scales sales of DPS door lifting prevention hardware commence. Earthquake Opener SCO-Type updated seismic sensors sales begin. SUS2 single swing fire shutter passes combustion testing.
November 2002: SUS2 dual swing fire shutter passes combustion testing.
December 2002: Redesigned homepage begins operation.
March 2003: Began handling Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. PyranR low-expansion fireproof glass.
June 2003: Completed RV-3000 automatic mid-size revolving door, installed in Shibuya Mark City.
